Strategic Intention #1:

Invest in creating conditions that position Greenville as an ideal destination for teachers.

Our Approach:

  • Foster and facilitate entry into the profession.
  • Increase the value and social status of the profession.
  • Amplify teacher voice, informed by an understanding of policy and the education system.
  • Increase access to affordable housing.
  • Increase access to: classroom resources; leadership pathways within the profession; ongoing learning and growth in the profession; quality mentoring; teacher wellness resources.

Strategic Intention #2:

Leverage an advocacy point of view that supports our mission.

Our Approach:

  • Elevate our influence at the state and local levels.
  • Increase the capacity of the community to be effective advocates.
  • Develop and share capacity/tools to credibly influence policy and practice.
  • Establish a formal public policy agenda/platform.
  • Leverage EdSource as a knowledge-building, fact-based tool to collectively influence policy.

Strategic Intention #3:

Shift our capacity model to support work at a systemic level.

Our Approach:

  • Free organizational capacity by offloading Make Summer Count in a scalable, sustainable, replicable manner.
  • Favor the catalyzing of direct programs through collective capacity building and partnership leverage over direct service provision.
  • Re-imagine a facility conducive to best-in-class convening and execution of our work.
  • Expand the knowledge, expertise and capabilities of our staff and board.
  • Establish consulting arm (capable of attracting resources) that can seek and respond to opportunities to scale PEP initiatives and thought leadership within and beyond Greenville.
